Aritaur have an international reputation for top quality puppies with sound character and good health. My first consideration is to find great homes for my puppies who regardless of what else owners like to do, are sold always as companions first.
If you are considering the breed as a first time Dobermann owner, if we can make it, you are welcome to join me or meet Aritaur owners around the UK for a walk with the dogs to fully understand all aspects of Dobe ownership and not just to see cute puppies.
Aritaur dogs are trained and work in all disciplines, so if you want to show, do agility or work your dog, we can try and guide you to the right puppy in a litter. Although I will do my very best to meet your requirements for showing or working, I can’t give any guarantees for you.
Aritaur dogs are health tested for hips, vWD, eyes (where possible atm), and DCM (age dependent), with all results available to view and never any offence taken at being asked.
Aritaur puppies are homed with 5 weeks free insurance, are microchipped, and have their pedigree and KC registration are supplied at the time of sale, a week’s supply of food, a detailed puppy pack, inclusion on my Aritaur owners What’s App groups, my FB group, and lifetime support from me.
Our puppy list is already very full for this year but it does of course depend what puppies are born.
I’m having a huge number of calls at the moment and just can’t answer them all – sorry, so for puppy enquiries please EMAIL ONLY in the first instance to tell me a bit about yourself. We can then have a chat to answer each other’s questions in more detail, I can put your name on a provisional waiting or reserve list (depending on possible availability). There is no fee to join a waiting list – I only take a puppy deposit after we have met, and after puppies have safely arrived.
If you come to visit, please do so with all members of the family if possible; I can’t sell to someone I haven’t met.
Please appreciate my time is very limited and my dogs come before any of us
‘Picks’ & ‘Lasts’
NB: PLEASE READ. No puppy is ever chosen until 7 weeks when breeders assess their characters and decide which are suitable for which homes. Even breeders won’t select any puppy they are keeping until then because characters and conformation are not revealed until 7 weeks. There is no point in choosing a puppy on looks if it doesn’t have the basic character you need.
As I often hold out with a special puppy for a show or working home, the best often IS the last.
This year – 2021, I am having just one litter here, but four Aritaur owners are co-breeding with me to raise their litters. They are not individually Assured Breeder Scheme members but each have a joint interest in my affix. I am obviously very careful who I allow to own and especially breed with my bloodlines, but I trust these owners/breeders to take as much care with the Aritaur name as they do with their bitches and will with their puppies. Good friends and good partnerships.
UPDATE – I am sorry but until the bitches are mated and scanned we can’t take any more enquiries at the moment. I am inundated with lovely enquiries, but can’t see there will be any availability before August/September. If you have emailed me and I haven’t replied I am very sorry that I have had so many enquiries it is impossible to reply to everyone promptly.
NB: HEALTH TESTING. Covid has made health testing difficult. Many eye specialists have suspended eye testing, and if they are, there is a long wait in places. Even if owners have been able to get hips x-rayed, the British Veterinary Association have been taking around 5 months + to return hip scores and recently suspended new submissions to clear the backlog! Many breeders, us included, are sending images to Australia or USA for turnaround in a week! These scores are now being accepted by the KC as they acknowledge the problem with the BVA.
MATED FIRST WEEK OF MARCH… If successful, puppies due mid May.
Aritaur Ginerosity ‘Ginny’
(Bledig Broadsword x Aritaur Love You Long Time BH)
‘Ginny’ is owned by Phil & Christine who write: Having Ginny in our life has enhanced it 100%. She is a real superstar. She just loves being with us, wherever we are she is. A true Velcro dog. We show our dogs in championship and open dog shows all over the UK. Ginny has been awarded her Junior Warrant, won a Reserve Challenge Certificate, numerous Best of Breeds and BPIB’s. We also do obedience work where Ginny has proved her trainability having achieved her Bronze, Silver, and Gold Kennel Club Good Citizen awards. We have recently started to do scent work which Ginny truly enjoys and plan to take this further in the future with her. Ginny is an extremely loving dog with great spirit. She particularly enjoys being close for a cuddle, playing tug, fetching and returning her tennis ball. She loves being with Beau our male Dobermann and they make a great partnership. Ginny is a real pleasure to walk out with;, a true ambassador for the Dobermann breed.

Rafthouse Beretta to Aritaur BH ‘Beretta’ (Rafthouse Barbarian x Rafthouse Verona)
Bred on Aritaur on both sides; Barbarian is son of Int Ch Aritaur Histabraq SchH3 – the UK Breed Record Holder for IPO/Schutzhund in all disciplines at all grades, and Verona is out of Aritaur Celebrity at Rafthouse. ‘Beretta’ was bred by my best friend Mike Turner who told me I needed a ‘new brown’ in my life ? Beretta was initially trained by Martin who said she would be his next 100 pointer at tracking. I later took Beretta over and although I may not get 100 points with her, have high hopes that once we can train properly again, we can at least show her abilities. At just coming up 5 years old, Beretta is still super playful, but has always preferred to wait for attention when everyone is calm. She is hugely affectionate, but I explain to visitors that she always seems stand-offish after a quick first greeting, taking herself to a couch to chew on her cushion, but when the noise has settled, she’s soon over to lean and sit on people. She is a super guarder and quickly finds intruders on site with a solid bark and hold.

Ginabelle is litter sister to Ginerosity and Genever. We are not fully decided yet on who Hope will be mated to, but as always it will be an interesting and exciting combination. Hope’s health results are:
