Rafthouse (Beretta) at Aritaur BH

Rafthouse ‘Beretta’ at Aritaur BH

(Rafthouse Barbarian BH x Rafthouse Verona).
DOB 08.06.2016

Bred on Aritaur on both sides – to Int Ch Aritaur Histabraq SchH3 – the UK Breed Record Holder for IPO/Schutzhund in all disciplines at all grades, ‘Beretta brown’ was bred by my best friend Mike Turner who told me I needed a ‘new brown’ in my life : )

Beretta was initially trained by Martin who said she could be a 100 pointer at tracking. I later took Beretta over and although I may not get 100 points with her, have high hopes that once we can train properly again, we can at least gain her FH1 (tracking qualification) or more . At just coming up 5 years old, Beretta is still super playful, but has always preferred to wait for attention when everyone is calm. She is hugely affectionate, and keen to meet new visitors especially children, but she is quite noise sensitive and seems stand-offish, taking herself to a couch to chew on her cushion.  Once the noise and energy has settled, she’s happy over to lean and sit on people. She is a super guarder and finds people very easily with a solid bark and hold.

Beretta was only shown a couple of times (I was too busy with the Pinschers when she was young, and Martin had her for training when I was at shows), but she won a 2nd in her class at Crufts and won BPIB from Alison Swain at LKA.

Beretta has had two litters; her first to her grandsire Yacheero’s Vando Vandero at Rafthouse (imp Est), and her second to Lux Jnr Ch Sant Kreal Focus on Korifey at Supeta IPG1 with excellent characters on the puppies on both occasions. I plan a litter from Beretta in summer 2021; sire tba.

vWD Clear, Hips 5:5 (10) Troponin (Cardio) last test Troponin 1, and Troponin Probnp normal February 2021 and she is in excellent health throughout.
